Driver Development Program Women's Track Day
Porsche Centre Downtown Toronto kicked off the track event season on May 29, with a driver development program tailored for women-only, which has been an annual women's track day. We could not be more excited to finally be on the track with our Porsche enthusiasts in this great weather at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.
The dedicated Downtown Porsche Team began the set up at 7am to be ready to welcome the participants who were gradually arriving from 8am. Participants were warmed up by a great breakfast provided and commenced the exciting day with a greeting remark by President and CEO of Downtown Porsche, Ms. Helen Ching-Kircher, and the General Manager, Nick Rajewski.
A series of classroom theory was conducted in the morning to prepare participants for the track later in the day. Participants each had a performance driving coach assigned to them for a one-to-one coaching experience throughout the program.
The lapping sessions allowed participants to experience the performance of their Porsche on a track with overwhelming excitement and adrenaline rush. By the end of the day, lap times were announced, and participants received a completion certificate along with a big smile on their face.
Porsche Centre Downtown Toronto would like to thank everyone who participated in the 2019 Women's Track Day! We look forward to the Open Track Day coming up next in July!
